Dear Friends,

This week, we will meet Monday evening, September 28, from 7-8:30PM ET online; Wednesday morning, September 30, from 7-8AM ET in person at our meditation space (3812 Northampton Street NW); Thursday morning, October 1, from 7-8AM ET online; and Friday, October 2, 12-1PM ET online.

On Monday, we have a guest facilitator - Melina Bondy (former Sister Ocean).  Melina will share about the Interbeing of the Two Truths and Three Times.

The Interbeing of the Two Truths (of the historical and ultimate dimensions) and the Three Times (past, present, and future) is at the heart of classic Plum Village teachings like "No Mud, No Lotus" and "Peace Is Every Step." It is easy to miss the depth, or to conversely feel intimidated, by these teachings. So, this evening's practice is a chance to experiment with bringing the Interbeing of the Two Truths and Three Times into one's life for personal and collective freedom.

Bio: Melina Bondy (they/them) is a queer, gender-fluid, white settler living in Tkaronto (Toronto) who began meditating 20 years ago in both the Insight and Plum Village traditions. In 2012, Melina (Sister Ocean/HaiAn) was ordained by Thich Nhat Hanh, living in both Plum Village Monastery in France and Blue Cliff Monastery in upstate New York. They returned to lay life in 2021 and now work as a somatic psychotherapist and meditation teacher with an orientation towards embodiment, social justice and creativity and radical compassion.
