Moving Beyond Fear with the Five Mindfulness Trainings

The Five Mindfulness Trainings offer us a path leading us out of fear and uncertainty. The Buddha offered the five precepts to his community more than 2400 years ago, and the Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh (Thay) has updated them several times to make them more relevant to our modern lives. Aligning our lives with the Five Mindfulness Trainings can bring us more well-being, clarity, and stability, especially helpful during challenging times like these.

Please join us for this relaxed Zoom series in which we will dive deeply into one training during each session, reading and reflecting with fellow practitioners in both small and large groups. We will build community as we discover ways to practice the trainings in our daily life.

Everyone is welcome. If you are curious about what the Five Mindfulness Trainings are or wish to officially receive the trainings during a transmission ceremony held on Saturday, January 3 (online or in person in Oakton, Virginia) or even if you have already received the trainings and want to deepen your understanding and engage with others on the path.
