The Five Mindfulness Trainings offer us a path leading us to clarity, solidity, and freedom, qualities we need more than ever. The Buddha offered the five precepts to his community more than 2400 years ago, and Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh (Thay) has updated them several times to make them more relevant to our modern lives. Aligning our lives with the Five Mindfulness Trainings can bring more well-being to ourselves, our loved ones, and the world.
Please join us for this relaxed Zoom series in which we will dive deeply into one training during each session, reading and reflecting with fellow practitioners in both small and large groups. We will build community as we discover ways to practice the trainings in our daily life.
There will be an opportunity to officially receive the trainings and receive a Lineage Name at a transmission of the Five Mindfulness Trainings with Dharma Teachers Anh-Huong, Thu Nguyen, Mitchell Ratner, and Annie Mahon in person and online on January 2 or January 9, 2026.
Everyone is welcome. Please join us if you are curious about what the Five Mindfulness Trainings are or wish to officially receive the trainings during a transmission ceremony held in January (online or in person in Oakton, Virginia). Even if you have already received the trainings and want to deepen your understanding and engage with others on the path, you are welcome to join us.
We will meet online six Saturdays, 4-5:30PM Eastern Time
